The Birthday Party gets a publication blurb in Publishers Weekly!

“Susan Dobinick at Astra Young Readers has acquired The Birthday Party by Rainie Oet, illustrated by Mathias Ball, a picture book about a nonbinary child who is swept off to their surprise birthday party full of dreamlike creatures and magical moments. Publication is planned for spring 2024; Abigail Frank at Sanford J. Greenburger Associates represented the author, and Natascha Morris at the Tobias Literary Agency represented the illustrator.”
